Artifact Cards

Artifact cards are specific items that can be slotted in Artifact slots, where they will provide some passive effect to the player. These effects can directly impact some combat or movement mechanics, or they can impact progression mechanics such as Mana or coin gains. The vessel starts each run with 3 open artifact slots, but are able to unlock an additional 3 for a total of 6. Each card vary in Mana cost and are also linked to the games' status effects and can build resistances to or weaken the player to them.

Artifacts can stack their effect if the same type of artifact is slotted more than once. However, if there is no open slot, an existing artifact must be discarded in order to make room for slotting a new one.

They can be divided into separate rarities and different card number variants.

- Small (Common)

- Medium (Rare)

- Large (Legendary)
